CLICKERCOUNTERS / INFORMATION
Cookie Notice
No counter cookies or tracking scripts are included. Optional remembering uses browser local storage instead.
Cookies versus local storage
Cookies are small values a browser may send back with web requests. Local storage is a different browser feature used to keep values on the device for a website origin. This counter code does not set cookies. It uses local storage only when you turn on Remember on this device. This notice is current as of 31 October 2026.
What the tools store
Each tool uses one local-storage entry with a name beginning cc_v1_, followed by its tool route. The entry contains that tool’s state: relevant counts, applied settings and optional labels; session snapshots for the log tool; or the latest completed CPS result. Active tests are not stored. The remembered state also records that you opted in.
The contact helper and quick homepage tally do not use persistent storage. There is no advertising identifier, analytics cookie, consent-tracking cookie or cross-site tracker in the supplied counter code.
Duration and scope
A remembered copy has no programmed expiry. It remains until the tool, you, browser settings or device cleanup removes it. Storage is specific to the browser profile and website origin. A preview file, staging domain, http address and https address may each have different storage. There is no cross-device synchronization.
Managing your choice
Remembering is off by default. Turn it on only when you want the current tool to keep a local copy. Turn it off to delete that tool’s stored entry while keeping the current temporary result. Clear this tool’s saved data removes the entry and resets the tool. To clear all tools together, remove this site’s data in your browser settings. Downloaded reports must be deleted separately.
If storage is blocked or full, the tool shows a warning and you can still use temporary counting and downloads. Private browsing may erase saved entries when the private session closes. Do not assume a remembered count is a permanent backup.
WordPress and owner-added services
WordPress may set administrative or login cookies for signed-in site administrators. The theme, hosting security layer or other installed plugins may set additional cookies. The counter plugin does not control those services, and this notice does not claim they are absent. The owner should audit the live configuration and explain any additional storage or consent requirements before publication.
